Standards of professional excellence for teacher librarians
AITSL and the University of Melbourne Expert Evaluation team are pleased to share the baseline implementation findings from the 2013 Evaluation activities – the National Forum and National Survey.
Some highlights from Survey responses – Initial analysis shows that amongst educators:
§ self-reflection and discussion with colleagues are commonly reported uses of the Standards
§ an average of:
o 70% of stakeholders reported knowledge of the Standards
o 61% of teachers, school leaders and teacher educators reported use of the Standards in their practice
o 74% reported opportunity to use the Standards in the next six months
o 78% reported they intend to use the Standards in the next six months.
